Mini Polo our first victory |

We are very pleased to announce that we had our first victory at a Mini Polo match vs Southwell last Sunday: 7 vs 5. Well done to all the players.
It has been two years since we started our Mini Polo team. We came a long way to achieve this long waited victory; our team is getting stronger and stronger. We have over ten regular players at our training on Sunday at Beechdale from 5:30pm.

The MIdland Youth Championships
Several Leander swimmers were at the Youth Championships at Coventry Pool over the weekend 5/6th May. All were swimming under the Nova banner, and all but one made it through to finals - so well done to them, they were:
Fiona Donnelly, Lara Robinson, Georgie & Jenny Young, Peter Amante-Roberts & Aiden Smith

Leander Masters Success |

Leander Masters Success at the Long Course Nationals
Between the 4th and 6th of May we were up in Sheffield at the National Long Course Championships. A small team managed to achieve:
4 gold (3 for Peter Kerslake in individuals, 1 EM record - great swims! - and the mixed 200 medley relay)
2 silver (mixed 200 free relay and ladies 400 free relay)
4 bronze (mens 240 400 free relay, Allan Falconer in 50 back, Lesley Cliff in 50 free and Sue Arrowsmith in 100 back)

Stage 2 Gala, 2nd Round |

Well done to all for the great performances last night by both the A and B team.
At Arnold, the B team came 3rd behind Bramcote and Arnold and had a lot of fun in the process.
Meanwhile, at Sutton, the A team had quite a battle with a strong Sherwood team - it was neck and neck for a long period but our strength and depth showed through as we came out winners 210 to 191. Great performances by all and a particular thanks to those swimmers who swam up and those who stepped in at the last minute because of illness/injury.
Thanks as always to all the Coaches, Judges, Timekeepers, Team Managers and of course our supporters. |

County Champs Age Group 2012 |
|

Counties are over and it has been another great year for all the Leander swimmers who competed (46 individuals and then relays on top!).
Lots of P.b's and strong performances.
In the relays, 21 Leander teams made the finals and 6 of those came out on top.
Individually, congratulations to Matthew Fallon and Summer Kennedy who where overall winners in their respective age groups.
Congratulations to all our swimmers - well done! |

There is an i-phone app which you might find useful when trying to find pools for galas it is called Splashpath just search for it in itunes store or find it here. It is free.
It has all swimming pools, timetables and give maps and directions to the pools. It also tells you which clubs train there and gives you their website. |

British Gas Champiuonships 3rd - 10th March |

The British Gas Championships taking place from tomorrow in the Olympic Aquatic Centre and six of our swimmers will be racing. Rebecca Adlington, Kelsie Campbell, Fiona Donnelly, Georgia Hohmann, Harry Needs and Sam Van De Schootbrugge have all qualified - good luck to you all. |

A & B Teams Dominate
Congratulations to all the members of both Leander teams in Gala 1 of the Notts Stage 2 competition on Saturday - 1st and 2nd in the gala at Mansfield.
British Championships
